the site is FINALLY BACK!!!!!!
holy guac... after many many months ive finally come back to this site!! i really really missed the feeling of updating to nekoweb and reading everyones kind words on guestbook, its been so long.. i hope you like this v2 of the site so far! im honestly really satisfied with this "second iteration" of the site, i initially intended to make a v2 of the website once i finished the original, scrapbook-y paper version (maybe i should call v1 "paper"?). but i ended up getting sick of it really fast. i applied a lot of the stuff ive learnt to the website and i personally think its a big step up! :3
now, im not going to lie, the launch of this website ended up being a lot later than i expected. i kept on delaying everything because i really really REALLY wanted to make this a big update-- new sitebox art, new button art, an about me page, but eventually it became clear that it would take a lot of time, motivation and focus, all of which i didn't have, and since school starts in about 2 months for me i figured i might as well publish the stuff i did finish, and rather update it sequentially with all the cool stuff i had in mind.
the journey to making zzizful.space v2 has been a wild one, with my motivation sloping up and down as the weeks pass. i started coding the index and homepage in early may, before then i sketched up the initial idea of the homepage in late april. i wasnt doing any coding the entirety of the first half of the year due to a mix of personal problems, school and honestly- because my attention span sucked ass.
i tend to pick up new projects before finishing my old ones, which is a pretty fatal flaw on my end. it caused this site to go into the backburner for a while until i decided to launch it now!
im really glad with how it turned out, the fact that im publishing this site is a big step up in my life. the first version of the website was made during a really dark time in my life, where i used coding and art to cope with my struggles. now that i've grown and matured since then, i think its kinda like.. a symbolic thing? im far from the person i was back in november, and it shows with what i've been able to accomplish. so, cheers for what the future brings!
and obviously, these two pages are NOT going to be the only things up for months, like it used to, i'll be hard at work making everything else i planned for! this is only a soft launch, after all, and stuff is rreaaally messy awhhh spaghetti code hehehhe. ive got a lot of stuff in store (mainly pepglee related :0) and with that, im probably gonna go to bed, i am running on an hour of sleep xd.
